John J. Giblin, 79, of West Orange, NJ, died on October 29, 2022. He was born in the Vailsburg section of Newark to the late John J. and Theresa E. (Moran) Giblin. John served in the U.S. Navy and worked the remainder of his career at Local 68 Operating Engineers. He retired to spend more time with his grandchildren and to travel.
John was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Codella Giblin and is survived by his two sons, John P. Giblin and his wife, Melissa, of Monroe Twp; and Kevin M. Giblin and his wife, Lisa, of Manahawkin; his daughter, Eileen Dutka and her husband, Craig, of Ellenton, FL; his seven grandchildren, Kaitlin, Michael, Madison, Matthew, Shane, Brett and David; his siblings, Eileen E. Coyne and Thomas P. Giblin; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for John will be held on Friday, November 4th at Codey Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave, Caldwell from 3:00 to 6:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 5th at 10:30am in St. Aloysius RC Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell. Interment will be private.
