Margaret A. (Peggy) Strahan, 84, of Scotch Plains, NJ passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Peggy was born to William J. and Margaret A. (O’Neill) Duffy in Newark and grew up in Newark, NJ. She spent most of her adult life in Maplewood, NJ. Peggy graduated from St. Vincent Academy. She went to work as an actuarial assistant. Peggy worked for many years at Actuarial Services in Union and at Abar in Livingston.

Peggy enjoyed raising her four children, reading, cooking, travel, the New York Times crossword puzzle, and spending time with her family.

Peggy was always making improvements to her home and liked spending time with friends there.

Peggy was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Frank G. Strahan, Jr.; and her eldest son Frank “Gregory” Strahan, III.  She is survived by her daughter, Maura and her husband, Peter, and their daughter, Madison; and her sons, Paul and Christopher and his wife, Veronica.
