Robert Kelly King, of Caldwell, NJ, formerly of West Orange, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 55 years old.

Robert was born in Orange, NJ to Madeline (nee Wood) King in June of 1969. He grew up in West Orange and graduated from West Orange High School. He went on to work a variety of jobs, including clerk / cashier at ShopRite and Stop & Shop, both in West Caldwell, and over the years as a driver at Dominos in West Orange, Montclair, Hackettstown, and lastly in Rockaway.

Robert enjoyed playing games on his phone, especially CSR Racing and poker. He wasn’t a complicated man – he enjoyed the simple things. Robert liked to relax and enjoy the home he and Jennifer made. His family and friends were an important part of his life.

Predeceased by his mother and his beloved sister, Carolyn Fortunato; Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Jennifer James King; his brother, John S. Wood; his nephews, Keith Fortunato, Jr., and Eric Fortunato; his cousins, Lillian (nee Crum) Piscotta, Richard Crum, Mary Crum, George Crum and their families; and his friends, co-workers and neighbors.
