The Codey Funeral Home is a family owned establishment that proudly has served Essex County for more than 100 years. Today, the Funeral Home is owned and operated by Richard J. Codey, a third generation funeral director and the 53rd governor of New Jersey.

His family’s roots in the funeral industry stretch to 1911 in Orange, New Jersey. For more than a century now, the Codeys have cared for loved ones and families. Today, that same tradition of excellence and care for families has followed us into the Caldwells and West Essex area.  

Mr. Codey remains passionate about continuing his family's legacy in Essex County. He is honored to serve with the most dedicated staff and will strive to bring to our families the compassion, dignity and respect unparalleled.
