Raymond E. Harrison Retired ITT Electrical Engineer Award Winning Watercolorist Raymond E. Harrison, 81, of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. Family and friends are invited for a memorial visitation at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 6 – 8 pm. To share a memory or extend condolences, please visit codeyjonesfh.com. Born in Appleton, Wisconsin to his parents William and Emily. Ray lived in Green Bay, WI before moving to West Caldwell in 1959 where he and his wife, Denise, raised their two daughters. After retirement they enjoyed wintering in Bradenton, FL as well. Mr. Harrison was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor degree in electrical engineering. He worked for many years at ITT Corporation in Nutley, NJ as an electrical engineer, retiring in 1991. Ray was indeed a renaissance man, besides the love of his family he was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan; an excellent tennis player and member of the Knollwood Tennis Club; later in life he learned to paint, with Denise, and was an award winning watercolorist; he was also a softball player in the local softball leagues and a self-taught harmonica player. Surviving are his beloved wife, Denise (Kohlbeck); devoted daughters with their husbands, Leslie & Ed Powers and Sandra & Greg Coughlin; dear brother, William; loving grandchildren, Natalie, John, Andrew and Jamie Powers, Samantha and Valerie Coughlin. Predeceased by his dear sister, Muriel Spears. In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Essex First Aid Squad, PO Box 662, West Caldwell, NJ 07007-0662 or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) would be appreciated.
