Mary Lynn Ventola (nee Florio), 73, of West Caldwell, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Mountainside Hospital in Glenridge. The funeral will be from the Codey & Jones Funeral Home (Galante), 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell on Friday at 8 am. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Aloysius Church in Caldwell at 9 am. Interment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in Bronx, NY. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Mary was born in Bronx, NY and lived in West Caldwell since 1971. She was a 1963 graduate of St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Hoboken and then worked at Jacoby Hospital and Albert Einstein Hospital both in the Bronx. Mary was a Past President of Mothers of Multiples of Essex County and Past President of HSA at Lincoln School in Caldwell, as well as a library assistant at West Caldwell Library. She was very devoted and involved at St. Aloysius Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and recently appointed as a Dominican Associate, of which she was very proud. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and homemaker! Beloved mother of Rick Ventola and his wife Melanie, and Missy Haas and husband James; sister of Bill Florio and his wife Irene, Donna Conroy and her husband John, and the late Linda Vecchio; loving grandmother of Brendan, Sean, Chloe, and Carly. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
