James Joseph McHugh Family Patriarch Devout Catholic James Joseph McHugh, 89, of the Caldwells, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Family & friends are invited for visitation at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 (973-226-6696) on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 4 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, NJ. To extend condolences or share a memory, please visit www.codeyjonesfh.com. Born in Montclair, NJ to his parents, Bernard and Margaret, Jim was raised in Bloomfield, NJ, lived in Pine Brook, NJ, West Caldwell and Caldwell. He was a milkman his entire career. Starting with the O'Dowd Dairy in Pine Brook and then owning and operating, McHugh Milk Company in West Caldwell before his retirement. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (McEvoy); devoted children, Mary (Jeff) Edwards, James (Donna) and Frank; a dear daughter-in-law, Connie McHugh; also 10 cherished grandchildren and 7 adored great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son and hero, Col. John McHugh; a sister, Anne Crowley and brother, Terrance McHugh.
