Barbara Ann Rosa Beloved Mother & Grandmother Barbara Ann Rosa, 78, of Caldwell, died on Sunday, March 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, Barbara lived in Carteret, New Jersey, her entire life until moving to Caldwell in 2010. Barbara was the only child of the late Alton and Gertrude Anderson. Following graduation from Carteret High School in 1955, Barbara was employed by Merck & Company in Rahway as an executive secretary. Barbara married the late George Rosa in 1960. After raising her family of four children, Barbara worked for 21 years at the Carteret Public Library before retiring in 2009. Barbara enjoyed traveling, summers at the town pool and spending time with friends and family. Barbara was predeceased by the love of her life, and husband of 51 years, George W. Rosa. She was the beloved mother of Cynthia Rosa with Tom Cook of Hinckley, Ohio; Doreen Vatalaro and her husband Peter, of Bear, Delaware; Douglas Rosa and his wife Dorothy, of West Caldwell, New Jersey; and Kristine Rosa of North Canton, Ohio. She was the beloved grandmother of Michelle, Timothy, John, Matthew, Elizabeth, Alexander and Nicholas. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 16, at Codey & Jones Funeral Home at 54 Roseland Avenue in Caldwell. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church at 32 Lakeside Avenue in Verona on Thursday, March 17 at 10:30 AM followed by internment at Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden NJ. Memorial contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona NJ 07044.
