John White, of North Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016, with his family by his side. He was 86 years old.
Born and raised in New York City, John was the son of John G. and Yolanda. He attended Cornell University, preparing him for a career as an engineer and entrepreneur. He is the author of Joe DiMaggio "Best of the Best'".
Mr. White proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
John was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ann (Schiffler) and a son Douglas. Surviving are his sons, Steven, Bruce and Daniel and their spouses, Nickolas, Patricia and Sharon; three grandchildren, Cassidy, Katherine and Christopher; and two great grandchildren, Jamison and Roxanne.
A private graveside service will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. Arrangements in care of the Codey & Jones Funeral Home of Caldwell.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory to the VFW Post 2856, 95 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ 07039, would be appreciated.
