John Clancy was a visionary who helped countless thousands of returning inmates and at-risk youth overcome problems to achieve a more fulfilling life. His concern for members of society who were often forgotten or ignored was matched only by his passion and determination to make a huge difference in their lives. For several years, I was privileged to work for John and deeply respected his willingness to help those in need. He will be remembered as an unselfish servant leader. I extend sincere condolences to the Clancy family, staff and all of the many clients who benefited from his work.

Dear Jesse
I am so sorry. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this most difficult time. John was the most kind and generous person I know. He never forgot his friends and was always there to help if anyone needed him. I’m flooded with memories from when we were young and I see him laughing, singing and happy with the guys and all our futures ahead of us. He did so much good and helped so many. He will be missed and the world is a little darker without him. Amy & Paul

To The Clancy Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss.John's commitment to bringing the possibility of rehabilitation to as many people as possible was truly exemplified by his life's work. For that I am a grateful recipient.
The personification of a favored expression "To Thine Own Self Be True" Is to me what John exemplified best. An inspiration in his own right , and something he had helped me to aspire to. He will be missed by many.

John helped me out in the very beginning on my road of recovery. He used to give me rides to work at Pal's Cabin after the 10 o'clock meeting on Friday in West Orange. That was 22 years ago. I often look back on those days with fond memories. Although our paths have not crossed as often as they used, John will always be remembered by me as a true friend and a shining example of what this is all about and I will miss him.

John has been a significant figure in my professional and personal life. His work touched the hearts and souls of many people. The vast majority of the individuals, that John supported in their journey through recovery, were people that society forgot and ignored. John's legacy will be, in part, the manner in which he helped others.
I will sorely miss John and the wisdom that he gave. My heart goes out to his family who he adored.

To the Clancy Family,
I am so sorry for your loss and so grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of Mr. Clancy's dream. It is so satisfying to be able to help individuals who are in need, which in my opinion is what Mr. Clancy was all about. What a legacy to know that his life was simply about being humanistic to individuals who lost direction in life. Mr. Clancy provided a map to a better life and fulfilling existence. I am privileged to be a part of his dream
Thank you,
Ellyn

My condolences to the entire Clancy family. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have worked for John for so many years. I will always remember John walking down the halls, at Talbot Hall, when repairs were complete from Super Storm Sandy. John was so proud of the renovations and that we were able to continue helping people to rebuild their lives. His compassion and desire to help others was immeasurable. He was driven yet humble and I will miss him terribly.
