My deepest condolences to the entire Valentine family on the passing of their Dad, Grandfather and Friend. Please remember he, Richard, will always be with you looking down on his Family and Friends and making sure "Things are in order". It is my truest believe that Richard is now at peace with his loving wife.
Rich, I can only write what I have observed about you over the years, you are "The Best" son any Mom or Dad could have ever asked for. Your Dad was always in great hands with you as you were always there when he needed you most and even when he didn't. Be proud of how you assisted in maintaining your Dad's "Dignity and Wishes", because I can guarantee you that your Dad is VERY PROUD OF YOU!
