Obituary of Mary T. Contursi

Mary T. Contursi (nee DiMarsico), 75 of West Orange passed away on July 7, 2016. A Funeral Service will be held in the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Monday at 10 AM. Cremation will be private. Visitation is on Sunday from 1-5 PM. Born in Orange, Mary was a lifelong West Orange resident. She worked as a receptionist in the Medical Records Department of East Orange General Hospital for many years until her retirement. A devout church-goer, Mary also loved to dance. Always willing to lend a helping hand, one of her many kindhearted gestures was offering people rides to wherever they needed to go. The daughter of the late Thomas and Julia DiMarsico, Mary was the beloved wife of 53 years to Angelo Contursi; loving mother of Maria Tirella, Andrea Torres and her husband David, JulieAnn Petrillo and her husband Nino and the late John Contursi; dear grandmother of Grace and Rachel Tirella, Hannah, Victoria and Sophia Torres, and Nina, Anthony and Michael Petrillo. She was also the sister of the late John DiMarsico.
