Obituary of Robert C. Miller

Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather Robert C. Miller, Jr., 73, longtime resident of Roseland, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Sunday, July 31st from 2-6pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Roseland Presbyterian Church, 40 Freeman Street, Roseland, NJ 07068 on Monday, August 1st at 11:00am. Miller, Sr. and Viola Williamson, Robert was raised in Roseland, where he has resided for most of his life, and where he and his wife, Barbara, raised their family. Robert attended Bloomfield College and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mr. Miller was a chemist for many years working for several companies, specializing in water and fuel treatment, retiring from Bell Labs in Plantation, FL. He had several patents to his name in his field. He was on the Board of Education in Roseland and for West Essex Regional, and an elder in the Presbyterian Church. Spending time with his family at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH gave him some of his favorite memories. He also enjoyed many trips to St. Martin with his wife. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara A. (nee Moritz); devoted children and their spouses, Michelle M. and Michael Hall and Robert P. & Judy Miller; dear brother of Richard H. Miller; cherished grandfather of Ryan and Timothy Hall; and many great neighbors. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory to the Roseland First Aid Squad or the Roseland Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
