Obituary of Louise Marie DeStefano

Beloved Mother of Caldwell Louise Marie DeStefano, 83, of Caldwell, NJ, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. She was lovingly cared for at home until her final hour. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, March 3 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ 07006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, March 4 at 10:00 am at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. Born in Newark, NJ to Nicholas and Rose D'Andrea, Louise moved to Caldwell 46 years ago. She graduated from Montclair Teachers College and taught in the Newark Board of Education System. Louise had big heart, she loved animals and donated to many charities. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William; loving brother, Angelo D'Andrea and sister, Carmela Gerace. Surviving are her devoted sons, William and Michael and his wife, Doreen; dear brother, John D'Andrea; also many cherished nieces and nephews; and her caregiver and angel, Mary Sudol.
