Dedicated Methodist George Peter Larson, 88, of Cranes Mill in West Caldwell, NJ, formerly of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Visitation is on Wednesday, March 22 from 6-8pm at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 10:00am in the Caldwell United Methodist Church on 8 Academy Road. The interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny, NJ. To extend a condolence or share a memory, please visit www.codeyjonesfh.com. Born and raised in New Albany, IN, George graduated from the University of Louisville with a BS in chemical engineering. After graduation, he moved to Kearny, NJ, where he met, and eventually married, Margaret Hogan, at the Calvary Methodist Church. Employed by Kaopolite Incorporated in Union, NJ, he eventually retired as Vice President. George was dedicated to the Methodist Church. He was a member of The Community Methodist United Church of Roselle Park and Caldwell United Methodist Church. He also served as a District Lay Leader. Mr. Larson proudly served in the US Navy Reserve. Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret, devoted sons, Mark, David and his wife, Sharon, and a loving sister, Margie Kunz. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Caldwell United Methodist Church would be deeply appreciated.
