Margaret A. Behrsin, 89, of Manchester, NJ, formerly of Nutley and Watchung , NJ, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Sunday, April 30 from 2-5pm. A Funeral Service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, 216 Liberty Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 on Monday, May 1 at 10:00am. The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Born in Newark, NJ to Arno and Margaret (Achatz) Huther, Margaret was a longtime resident of Nutley, NJ, graduating from Nutley High School in 1945. She lived in Watchung before moving to Manchester in 1987.
Margaret was a career office administrator with Schering Plough in Bloomfield, NJ.
In her personal and professional life, Margaret always presented herself with elegance and sophistication in her appearance and demeanor. She is known by all for her sincerity for always sending cards for family and friends special occasions.
An avid gardener, Margaret was a past president of the Watchung Garden Club. She enjoyed many hours in her gardens. Her passion for flowers and gardening has influenced many of her family and friends.
She enjoyed world travel, dancing, and spending time at the Deutscher Club of Clark, NJ. The family cherishes their memories of holiday dinners, especially baking family recipes handed down through generations.
Another interest of this remarkable women was her love of sports. She was a dedicated Yankee and NY Giants fan who liked keeping track of the stats.
Margaret was predeceased by her husbands, Jack Faria and Kurt Behrsin.
Surviving are her devoted sons, Gregory Faria, with his wife Meg, and Jack Faria; dear brother, William Huther, loving grandchildren, Bert and Tara; cherished great grandchildren, Jake, Michael and Kali; and her devoted caregiver, Ona, whom the family is forever grateful.
