Obituary of Robert A. Paterson

Robert A. Paterson Devoted Father Robert A. Paterson of Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 while holding hands with his loving wife, Ellen. Sadly he was only 51 years old. Family and friends are invited for a memorial visitation at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Sunday, September 17th from 2-5pm with a Service Celebrating Robert's Life at 5:00pm. He was raised in New York, NY and attended Boston University. For the past 26 years he and his wife, Ellen, have raised their family in Caldwell. A natural athlete, Robert played basketball in college and was a US Powerlifting Champion. His career spanned many years including being the Director of the Caldwell Community Center and recently the Director of Operations for Gym Source in New York, NY. Robert was especially passionate about coaching and mentoring kids. He never missed any of his son's games. Surviving are his beloved wife, Ellen; devoted sons, Daniel, Bradley and Tyler; loving mother, Heather Lambert (John) and step-mom, Laurette Paterson; dear siblings, Ronald and Kelly; also many nieces and nephews; and most recent his "adopted son", Karee Dillard.
