May God hold you in His Almighty Arms so you may be comforted until He eliminates all sources of pain (Revelation 21:3-5). All His promises will come true (Isaiah 55:10-11; Titus 1:2). The free website, JW.ORG, has been most helpful to me over the years because it guides me to the compilation of Bible verses on comfort and hope. It is my sincere wish that you will find it useful also. May God grant His peace to all of you (Philippians 4:6-7). My heartfelt condolences. Psalm 37:11, 29.

James’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20140101/

I was truly saddened to hear how sick Uncle Jim had been. I remember what a tall and strong man he was when I first visited NYC in 2000. Jim had organized, with Terri, a fantastic tour of the city and Statue of Liberty for me. We had such a lovely day together and he was so proud when he took us to Ellis island to see the family name on the memorial wall. I'll never forget his passion as he told us how he campaigned to make sure the name was included. Thank you Jim for that day and imprinting those memories on me forever. May you finally Rest In Peace from that awful theif called cancer. Sending love and deepest condolences to Michael, Patrick and Terri and the whole family, from my McG chapter - Maryla, Stephen, Martin & Simone, Eddie and Ellie xxx

I first met this big smiling Irishman the day I started my career at ADP. We instantly became friends and I enjoyed strong and enduring friendship with Jim for over 40 years.
We shared good times and some not so good times over the years but through it all Jim
a close, loyal and supportive friend. I will cherish all times we shared and will dearly miss that big exuberant smile. Until we see each other again may your rest in the arms of our Lord.

My sentiments are truly the same. I loved Jim with his great sense of humor and purpose. It was back in 1976 I went to work at ADP and the tech gang were the best ever. I'm deeply saddened by this loss. May the Irish Angels look after you. Rest in peace and I'll see you again. My heart and soul are broken for every one who loved you.

My dear friend; I will always remember the times we had together. At work, having a cocktail or fishing in Canada. Although it seems like yesterday 30+ years have passed and for that I thank you. Until we meet again, may you rest easy in Gods care.

Being married to Danielle, I've been so incredibly lucky to inherit the McGurrans as my crazy in-laws...they're passionate, stubborn, sweet, gregarious. While I only got to know Jim in the last few years, I really loved him like he was my own uncle! He was extremely funny and kind-hearted from the start — I always felt comfortable and at ease in his presence because he was clearly a gentle, thoughtful person. I'm so sad for this unfair and painful loss.

Uncle Jim was the tops. Smart, funny, exuberant, accepting and open, an all-around great guy. When I was eight, he got me a Garfield sleeping bag for Christmas. It was the best thing ever. I loved him. I'll miss him.

Uncle Jim,
You will be so missed by so many. You were truly a great man who was always loving and kind to all.
You were the cool uncle who exposed me to Classic Rock! Driving in your T-bird as a kid, listening to Sabbath and Led Zep instilled a love for Rock Music that I still enjoy today.
You were a great father, grandfather, brother, uncle, grand-uncle, husband and friend. We miss and love you so much.
Love,
Christine, Jreh & Julian

I met Jim while working at Dun & Bradstreet in 1977. From his encouragement I followed him to ADP, the band Fire & Theft and then to Onsite. We've been a part of each others life for 41 years. I enjoyed every second being with him and his family. It's hard to say farewell to my oldest friend.
Rest in peace my friend. You didn't deserve the health issues and pain you went through the last year or two.
My condolences to Terri, Mike, Pat, Maura, Dan and the rest of the family. May your God, family and friends support you through this difficult time.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jim at ADP and then years later, we used his services while I was at Munics Information Systems. Jim would often do work for us and our clients, and he became close friends with my co-worker and friend Gregg Sgarlata, and to an extent a friend of mine. I wouldn't say I was in his inner circle for sure, but it didn't matter. Jim ALWAYS made me feel that way when I saw him. When Gregg would tell me “Hey Lempke, McGurran is stopping by today”, you knew you had a guaranteed highlight for the day.
Jim, and his larger than life smile, was one of those people that I ALWAYS looked forward to seeing and then being in the presence of his humor, warmth, and kindness. He was such a pleasure to be around, and I always had a big smile myself in the wake of his departure.
My condolences go to his wife, sons, sister, brother, grandchildren, and extended families and friends. Although I am glad Jim is no longer suffering and I know he’s in a better place, I share the enormous void that you all feel. I pray for your healing and that you may celebrate his life during this difficult time.
Yours truly,
Richard Lempke
