I am sorry for the death of Mr. Gartland. The God of heavens shares your loss (Ezekiel 18:32). He plans to eradicate all sources of suffering, including death (Revelation 21:3-5). He promises to return him back younger and in perfect health (Hosea13:14; Job 33:25). Jesus taught us to pray for that marvelous time at Matthew 6:9-10. I have found the free website, JW.ORG, much helpful in finding more related verses. It is my sincere wish that it will help you as well. My heartfelt condolences to all of you. Psalm 37:11, 29.

That is a wonderful picture of Tom.It takes me back to our High School days as Tom had changed so little. I do also remember while working on various streets around town while placing poles with the phone company,if Tom went by he would always take a few minutes to stop and say hello rather than drive on by. I can also remember how much he liked my Mother's '56 Chevy Bel-Aire that he described down to the colors that she drove through our Grover Cleveland High years. I always thought that his memory of that was amazing. I can only imagine that Tom would have made as good a soldier. My deepest condolences to all of the Gartland. God Bless,Respectfully, Greg

My deepest sympathy to you Susan and your family. Tom was one of my favorite people and as someone said - one of the good guys. Always with that great smile and a witty on point comment on whatever was going on. He will truly be missed. I know you have many wonderful memories that will comfort you during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace my friend

Susan and family: I am so so sorry to hear about Tommy's passing. He has been a favorite of mine since high school. My mother used to pick him up hitchhiking and she always said to me "that Tommy Gartland is such a nice boy". I told Tommy this story many times. A sad day for many people. Please accept my sincere sorrow over your great loss.

Gartland Family,
My good friend Chuck Overbey and I often talked about his U.S. Army friend Tom Gartland of Caldwell, to the point where I almost feel like I, too, am a friend of his.
And looking at his photo, I think the paths of Tom and I have crossed somewhere over the years.
It is obvious that Tom lived a great life, was successful in business and had a wonderful family. It is sad that he struggled with his health toward the end, but Chuck said he remained in good spirits. That is a blessing.
Tom Gartland -- may he rest in peace.
