Lifelong Resident of West Caldwell
Michael G. LeDonne, 60, of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 12, 2018, after a long illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ on Thursday, August 16th from 4-8 pm. Family and friends will meet at Notre Dame R.C. Church, 359 Central Ave., North Caldwell, NJ on Friday, August 17th at 10:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A lifelong resident of West Caldwell, Mike was the son of John and Angela (Guido) LeDonne. After graduating James Caldwell H.S., he worked alongside his father and brother for LeDonne & Sons Trucking. He retired as the owner/operator of the family business in 2016.
Mike was a handyman who could fix practically anything. You could also see lawnmowers for sale on his front lawn throughout the summer. He and his brother, Sal, snowplowed our community for 35 years.
He stayed involve in the community throughout his life playing softball with the Cloverleaf Tavern Softball Team, where he was a wall of fame member.
He loved a cold boat soda, boating, riding his Harley and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Michael J. and Johnny; mother, Angela: brother, Sal (Patti); nieces, Liza, Lana, Salena, Michelle and Annemarie; nephews, Nicholas and John; also cousins, extended family and friends; He was predeceased by his father, John D. and brother, John F. LeDonne.
