Obituary of Rosamaria A. Touma
Rosamaria "Rosemarie" A. Touma, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019, with her family at her side. She was 81 years old.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell (973-226-6696) on Monday, January 28th from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Caldwell on Tuesday, January 29th at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to Giovachino and Rose DiTeodoro, Rosemarie was raised in Brooklyn where she graduated from Catherine McAuley High School in 1955.
It was in Brooklyn that she met and married the love of her life, Alfred Touma. Together they raised their family in West Caldwell where they have lived for 55 years.
In addition to raising her three children, Rosemarie was an executive secretary at Foster Wheeler Corporation in New York City and was also a bookkeeper with Aramark in Caldwell, NJ for many years.
Rosemarie was an avid fan of the New York Mets and Seton Hall Pirate basketball teams. She enjoyed hosting family holiday gatherings, as well as taking trips to Atlantic City and Bermuda.
She was known for her generosity and kindness and was loved by all who knew her.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 55 years, Alfred Touma; devoted children, John and his wife, Cathy of Montville, Marcie Racioppi and her husband, Ken, of Roseland and Stephen of Roselle Park; adored grandchildren, Rachel and Michael Touma, Ava and Nicholas Racioppi and Brian Touma as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Vincent and Philip DiTeodoro.
