Truly Amazing Mother, Grandmother

and Awesome Great Grandmother

 

Margaret V. Reinhardt (nee Nolan), of Caldwell, NJ, peacefully passed on Friday, February 15, 2019.

She showed her family and friends the devotion of courage and commitment. She was sunshine, to many lives she touched and crossed her path.

Please join the family to celebrate Margaret's life at the memorial visitation on Wednesday, February 20th from 4-7pm at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell. Family and friends will then meet for a Catholic Mass to be offered on Thursday Feburary 21st at 11:00am, at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell.

Born on March 8, 1933 in West Orange, NJ to James and Ivy Nolan, Margaret was raised in West Orange, NJ. She met and married the love of her life and together moved to Caldwell in 1958 where they raised 8 children.

Mrs. Reinhardt was a natural at childcare and worked at local child care centers before retiring from Tiger Racquet Club in Fairfield. She loved to crochet, cook,bake,play scrabble on line and off. She love to watch football, crime series investigation shows, and General Hospital on t.v.. She loved to be adventurous, and going on scenic rides, sometimes to Atlantic City.

Besides being at the shore or going to the boardwalk, Margaret enjoyed music and going to parties where you can dance. She was a gambler at heart, found it fun to do scratch offs and loved a challenge. Reading was also one of her favorite things to do, especially John Grisham novels. Today Margaret is reunited with her beloved husband, the late Walter J. Reinhardt.

Surviving are her devoted children; Walter, Margo, Dawn and husband Denis, Sueanne Hochman and husband Michael, Karen Walcheske and predeceased husband Mark, Kevin and wife Irene, James and wife MaryAnn, and daughters Stacey and PeggyAnne; Margaret also cherished her 8 grandchildren, Jacob Reinhardt and wife Julia, Desiree Henderson and husband Frank, Kimberly Walcheske and partner John Beese, Lyz Atalay and husband Demirhan, Nolan Reinhardt and wife Cassidy. Jacqueline Peter, Unal Atalay, and Arly Reinhardt. Margaret adored her 6 great grandchildren;Victoria, Aydin, Leyla, Lilah, Dylan, and Kinnley. A loving sister, Catherine Shalloo, and many, nieces, nephews and cousins whom she socialized with and love very much.

Margaret was honored to be the Chairwoman of the France Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer. This not for profit organization was founded in memory of Margaret's sister, Frances Heugle, sub stained by her memory, and the love of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the France Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer, would be greatly appreciated. (www.francesfoundation.net)

Margaret loved to laugh, hear or tell a good joke. Her smile would light up a room, and many of times her actions would prompt anyone to be happy and silly. She was a blessing and fun to be around. Margaret Veronica Reinhardt ( Maggie, Peggy,Aunt Peg, Hummel, GG) will truly be missed. The family encourages you to please post any thoughts or memories that you would like to share.
