Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather

 

Robert C. Kuenstner, formerly of Caldwell and Summit, NJ, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Winchester Gardens in Maplewood, NJ, with his loving wife, Janet and daughter Ellen by his side.

He was born in Chatham, NJ to William and Mildred (Hickman) Kuenstner. He was a veteran of WWII honorably serving in the US Navy in the South Pacific. Upon returning to the states he continued his education, graduating from Lafayette College with a BS in 1950 and from Carnegie Mellon University with an MS in 1956.

Bob worked many years as an electrical engineer developing computers for government projects, UPC labeling and medical applications. He also enjoyed a year teaching physics and math at Woodstock School in Mussoorie India. He was an Elder at First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell and a current member of Wyoming Presbyterian Church in Millburn.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 69 years, Janet (Johansen); devoted children, Nancy Jo Kuenstner (Hugo Verdegaal), Dr. Todd Kuenstner (Alyson Will), Ellen Kuenstner (Thomas Welsh), Paul Kuenstner (Debby), Susan Kuenstner (Thomas Coleman); also nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Please join the family as they celebrate Bob's life on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Wyoming Presbyterian Church, 432 Wyoming Ave., Millburn, NJ 07041.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wyoming Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
