Obituary of Helen Pandelios

Helen Pandelios of Caldwell, NJ, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She lived for 97 years. Visitation will be held in the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell on Friday (today), June 28th from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Ss. Nicholas, Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 80 Laurel Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068 on Sat., June 29th at 9:45 am. The interment will be private at the family's request. She met her future husband, Jerry, in Cephalonia, Greece, married and together they raised their daughters in Brooklyn, NY. After Jerry passed, Helen moved with her daughters to East Meadow, NY. She was a beautician for many years at Rene's in Hempstead, NY. Helen then enjoyed many happy years with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in New Jersey. She also enjoyed many wonderful summers in Cephalonia, Greece where she had many close relatives. In addition to her husband, Jerry, she was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are her devoted daughters, Elizabeth (Paul) Jemas and Tina Ilardi; loving grandchildren, Garrett (Katie) Ilardi, Alena (Mike) Morrissey, Amanda and Jeremy(fiancé Kamille); cherished great grandchildren, Lucas and Evan.
