Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather

 

Arcelino DaSilva Fontinha, 91, of Livingston, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salreu, Portugal, he was the son of Maria Fontinha. He lived in Venezuela before immigrating to Newark, NJ in 1965, and finally moving to Livingston 14 years ago.

Arcelino was a longshoreman with the AFLCIO Local 2535 in Port Newark.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Emilia; three children, Fernando (Renee), Fatima and Ricardo (Deanna) DaSilva; twin, Maria Alice Fontinha; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jillian, Taryn, Tyler, Brandon and Briana and a great-granddaughter Emilia.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 26th from 5-8 pm in the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 27th at 10:00am in St. Philomena's Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, NJ.
