Dioscora Vannoy, M.D., (nee Reroma), 82 of Verona passed away on November 17, 2019 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Dr. Vannoy at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home - 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell, NJ ( 973-226-6696) on Thursday November 21, 2019 from 4-7 PM, with prayers to follow at 7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Orange, NJ on Friday November 22, 2019 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.

Born in the Philippines, Dioscora attended Far Eastern University, Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in Quezon City, Philippines and graduated in 1963 and moving shortly after to the United States where she began her career as what was then known as Newark Presbyterian Hospital. She settled in West Caldwell with her family in 1975. Dr. Vannoy held a private pediatric practice in Orange for 35 years until retiring in 2016. She had a longtime affiliation with Presbyterian/United Hospitals and Newark Beth Israel, as well as UMDNJ, Orange Memorial, and St. Barnabas. She also served as a public health pediatrician for the Township of Orange for 12 years and in schools throughout Paterson as a school physician for several years.

Dioscora joins in heaven her beloved husband Charles Vannoy, who passed away only two weeks ago. She is survived by her loving children Jason and his wife Lisa, Charles and his wife Lisa, and Duane; her cherished grandchildren Rose, Morgan, Sydney and Cole, and her siblings Caridad, Elizabeth, Helenita, Israel and Kuusela. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Arturo, Bienvenida, Godilla, and Jesus, Juana.
