Obituary of George Bernard Hansson
George Bernard Hansson, Jr., of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
Born in Piscataway, NJ to George, Sr. and Anne “Nan” Hansson, George married the love of his life, Betty-Ann (Wright) and together they raised their two sons in West Caldwell.
George proudly served in the US Coast Guard in the late 1960’s. He retired as a programmer with IBM in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Betty-Ann, devoted sons, George, III and his wife, Nikki, and Erik and his wife, Alyssa, dear brother, Glenn and loving sister, Diane Hansson, cherished grandchildren, Shayne, Jakob and Olivia.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his step-mother, Emily and sisters, Verna Hansson and Donna Spaven.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 am in the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell, 326 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006.
