Paula J. Luongo, a longtime resident of East Hanover, NJ entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Newark, NJ in 1940 to Paul J. and Constance (Rossi) Lombardy, Paula was raised along with her sister Barbara (Zecchino) who predeceased her in 1996. Paula was a 1958 graduate of Barringer High School, and has remained an active member of their alumni association. Paula married Robert P. Luongo in 1961, moving to East Hanover in 1968. There they raised their three children Richard (wife Christine) of Rockaway, Carol Ann (husband Joseph Rolli) of Roseland and Michael (fiancé Dina Tulli) of Roseland. Paula adored her six grandchildren Joseph and Samantha Rolli, Michelle, Allison, Victoria and Michael Luongo. Paula enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Robert and kept detailed photo albums of all their adventures. Paula enjoyed Monday night Mahjong for over 40 years with her neighbors, Carol DeRogatis, Barbara Perillo and Ceil DeFinis. Paula was an active member of the East Hanover Senior Citizens club. She also enjoyed spending time with her dear friends Joyce DelVescovo and Lenora Cerrato. Paula's family wishes to thank the East Hanover Police Department, Atlantic Health First Aid and the entire staff at Morristown Medical Center for their care and compassion shown to Paula when her family was unable to be at her bedside during this difficult time. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, services will be private.
