Obituary of Sophia A. Kluczek

Sophia Kluczek Active at Our Lady of the Valley in Orange Sophia A. Kluczek (nee Gruchacz), of Union, NJ, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. She was 94 years old. Family and friends are invited for visiting at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Wednesday, July 23rd from 4 – 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of the Valley, Orange, NJ on Thursday, July 24th at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Orange. Sophia was born and raised in Orange and has lived in Leonardo, NJ before moving to Union 30 years ago. Mrs. Kluczek was a stockroom operator at Westinghouse for 39 years, retiring in 1977. Most especially she was a devout Catholic and active member of Our Lady of the Valley, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, CCD Teacher, a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry and a Promoter of the CAMM (Central Association of the Miraculous Medal). She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; and 4 brothers, Walter, Joseph, Benny and Stanley Gruchacz. Sophia is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
