Obituary of Loretta Carrozza
Loretta Carrozza (nee Muscarella), recently of Sedona, AZ, previously of Caldwell, NJ, passed peacefully at home on July 7, 2020. She was 97 years old.
A celebration of her life will be held at Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ on Monday, July 13 with visitation from 10 am – 12 pm followed by a prayer service. Loretta was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Parsippany & Caldwell, NJ before moving to Arizona earlier this year.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, in 1991, four brothers, Louis, John, Anthony & Joseph; two sisters, Lena Newenhouse & Josephine Zappulla.
Surviving are her devoted children with their spouses, Ernest Carrozza and Baba Zipkin, Bob and Sheila (Dorrity) Carrozza and Karen Carrozza; loving grandchildren and their spouses, Bobby and Amanda Carrozza and Steven and Courtney Carrozza; cherished great-grandchildren, Miles and Logan.
Loretta adored her God-Daughter, Darlene Muscarella, as well as her many nieces & nephews.
Loretta has an extensive extended family, the D’Aloia Family of Caldwell the Josephsen Family of West Caldwell and the Dorrity Family of West Caldwell and Belleville, NJ.
All of them, along with Loretta’s grandchildren, affectionately called her “Mugga”, a name given to her by her oldest grandchild when he was 2.
She loved celebrating life’s special occasions and holidays with the ones she loved.
