Obituary of Mary E. Meierhofer

Mary Meierhofer (nee Shannon), 89, of West Orange, NJ, passed away at home on Friday, July 25, 2014. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ 07006 (973-226-6696) on Tuesday, July 29 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John's R.C. Church, 94 Ridge St., Orange, NJ 07050 on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:00 am. Mrs. Meierhofer was born and raised in Orange, moving to West Orange 20 years ago. Mary was the manager of the consumer loans department for 26 years with First Fidelity Bank in Newark, NJ. She was a lifelong member of St. John's R.C. Church in Orange and a member of the Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Thomas J. Meierhofer, Jr., who was her childhood sweetheart. Surviving are her son, Thomas J. Meierhofer, III and his wife, Roseann of Whippany , two grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Lisa of Livingston and Terri and her spouse, Sarah of Denville, and three great-grandchildren, Haley, Joseph and Peyton.
