Judith "Judy" Ann Brown Cussen, of Essex Fells, NJ, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

A Private Liturgy for the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Roseland on Saturday, December 5th. Please join the family for a brief service, outdoors, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Westville Avenue, Caldwell, NJ on Saturday, December 5th at 12:00 pm (noon) (after the Mass) for prayers at the grave. Arrangements are entrusted to the Codey & Jones Funeral Home of Caldwell. Please visit www.codeyjonesfh.com to extend a condolence or share a memory.

Born to Frank and Grace (Lauterette) Brown in St. Mary's Hospital, Orange, NJ, Judy was raised in Livingston and graduated from Mt. Saint Dominic Academy and St. Elizabeth College in Convent Station. She met and married the love of her life, the late Jack Cussen, and together they raised their three boys in West Caldwell and Essex Fells. She taught grammar school at the Wharton School District in New Jersey for a time and then focused all of her efforts on raising her three boys.

Judy, first and foremost, loved her family.

Surviving are her devoted sons, Donald and his wife, Marla, Douglas and Matthew; a loving sister, Maureen Housel Domino and brother, Frank Brown and their families, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Bridget.
