Obituary of Patricia M. Beusse
Loving Mother of seven, Adored Grandmother of thirteen.
Patricia (Pat) M. Beusse, 90, of Caldwell, NJ passed away peacefully on September 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1931 to James and Marguerite (Hennessy) Welsh. She was raised in her parish school, St. Francis of Assisi. Pat was a graduate of Bishop McDonald where she attended high school on scholarship. She went on to Grace Institute where she earned a business degree.
Pat married the love of her life, Bob Beusse, in 1953. They moved their growing family from New York to Caldwell, NJ in 1957, where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Pat had the gift of gab. She loved life, church, family, music, quilting, sewing, flowers and tea parties with her grandchildren. Pat also loved to travel and did so to many parts of the world with her husband. She was very proud of her Scottish heritage. Pat helped many people in a quiet way throughout her lifetime. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pat was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert B. Beusse; her son, Robert G. Beusse; her daughter, Patricia Hughes; her son-in-law, Steven Simmons; her brother, James Welsh; her sister and brother-in-law, Margo and Jack McLeod; her brother, Michael Welsh; and her sister-in-law, Claire Archambault.
Pat is survived by her loving children, Claire Simmons, Brian Beusse, Donna McLeod (Bob), Barbara Davison (Bob), Thomas Beusse (Deborah); her son-in-law, Larry Hughes; her adoring grandchildren, Matthew Simmons, Sarah Hughes-Green (Nate), Kyle Simmons (Barbara), Julia McLeod, Emily Hughes, Audrey McLeod, Megan McLeod, Gregory Hughes, Amanda Beusse, Erin Davison, Ian Davison, Patrick Beusse and Emma Davison; her sister, Eileen Welsh; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Joan Welsh; her sister-in-law, Diane Welsh; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 30th from 4:00 - 8:00pm at Codey Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave, Caldwell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 1st at 11:00am in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Roseland, with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover to follow.
