Joseph Daniel Ziliotto, 99, formerly of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, with his family by his side.

Joseph was born and raised in Newark, N.J. He served our country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corp, finishing his tour in India. Joseph married Theresa Mucci and the family settled in West Caldwell 64 years ago. Joseph was a builder by trade, starting with his father’s company and then working for others over the years. He built his family’s home.

He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. Joseph loved spending time outdoors. He rooted for his NY Yankees and NY Giants. Joseph devoted time to area organizations such as the St. Aloysius Seniors and C/WC Seniors, as well as the VFW in Fairfield. Above all, Joseph loved his family and he will be deeply missed by them.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa and his son, Joseph D. Ziliotto, Jr., he is survived by his devoted daughter, Renee Ferrara and her husband, Joseph; his daughter-in-law, Susan Sica – Ziliotto; his brother, Don Ziliotto; his grandchildren, Téa, Joseph and Michael Ferrara and Joseph D. Ziliotto, III; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
