Obituary of Aram Fleurantin

Aram Fleurantin, 67, of West Orange, NJ, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, August 18, 2023, after a 17-year courageous battle with cancer.

Born in September 1955 in Haiti to the late Guillaume and Lise (Jean-Louis) Fleurantin, Aram grew up in Bainet, Haiti. He graduated high school at the Secondary School of Carrefour in Port Au Prince, Haiti. After graduation, he went to the College of Rosemont in Montreal, QC where he completed his pre-med studies. He later switched from medical studies to the school of Dentistry, where he became a Doctor of Odontology.

He settled in West Orange, NJ, where he worked with his brother in New Jersey and New York. Later in life, he found his niche in real estate and became an agent. Aram enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs. He loved gardening - growing vegetables and roses - as well as being by the water and making people laugh.

Please join the family on Tuesday, August 22nd, for visitation from 10:30 -11:30am at Codey Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave, Caldwell, followed by a prayer service at 11:30 am. Aram is survived by his beloved wife, Anabel Garcia; his cherished sons, Aldo and Andy Fleurantin; his brother, Dr. Ruben Fleurantin; his sister, Marie Rosana Desarme; his aunt, Luzena Paul; his uncle, Phillipe Jean-Louis; his nieces, Peggy Chateauneuf, Nadia Fleurantin, Marcelle Fleurantin, Angel Desarme, Star Desarme, Erandi Ramíres, Zacil Ramíres, Meztli Ramíres, Daniela Hernandez, and Andrea Maldonado; his nephews Rony Desarme, Emmanuel Desarme, Courtney Fleurantin, Ruben Fleurantin Jr., Jon Paul Fleurantin, Mitchell Desarme, Luis Hernandez, and Alan Maldonado; his cousins, great nieces and nephews, in-laws, many friends and his two dogs, Odie and Nala.
