Obituary of Arthur Joseph Rinaldi
It was on Saturday, December 14, 2024, that Arthur Rinaldi passed away at home, surrounded by those he loved and who loved him - Nancy, his wife of 63 years; Maria and Catherine - his daughters he adored; Nicholas and Gabriella, his beloved grandchildren; —their dad Lenny Ruggiero and significant others.
Artie was the youngest of four. Marie, Sal and Anthony doted on him as their baby brother. As the years went by Artie and Anthony became inseparable, whether building the auto body shop “Du-Rite” or just hanging out, there was much joy and laughter.
Artie leaves behind Diane and Jim Campbell; and Janet and Dick Walker. They were not only family but dear, dear friends. The friends he grew up with remained his best buddies for his entire life.
Du-Rite “The Shop” became a gathering place for everyone—friends, family, customers and many from the Orange community.
Arthur never turned his back on anyone in need, whether spiritually or financially. He was known as the guy who would literally give you the shirt off his back. Not only did Artie believe in God he “walked the walk and talked the talk” while living it through his generosity of spirit.
Though his passing is heartbreaking to those he left behind, there is joy in that he was so very close to the Lord at the end.
Please join the family in celebrating his life at Mass on Saturday, January 4th at 11:00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel R. C. Church, 103 S. Center St., Orange, NJ.
Arrangements were provided by Codey Funeral Home of Caldwell. To share condolences or memories with the family, please visit CodeyFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in Artie's memory would be most appreciated.
