Theresa Marie Jones of Caldwell, NJ, formerly of West Orange, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

Terry, as she was known, was the daughter of Ann and George Allan. She was born in Newark and raised in Orange, graduating from Orange High School. Terry met Allan Jones, and they married in 1956. They made a loving home and raised their family in West Orange, celebrating 63 years of marriage before Allan’s passing in 2019.

Raising five children was Terry’s full-time passion. She was very involved with the Cub Scouts, serving as Den Mother and Pack Leader. When the children were older, she went back into the workforce, serving as a legal secretary for Wausau Insurance Company for 20 years until her retirement in 1996.

Terry was very devoted to her faith. She was a regular communicant at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Orange, until moving to the Poconos where she was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish and then to Caldwell, where she attended Mass at St Aloysius Church.

Terry always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. Her life was full of love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her heart.

Terry was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allan Jones, Sr.; her sister, Genevieve “Micki” Wood; her brother George “Buddy” Allan; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Jones. She is survived by her children, Allan Jones, Jr. and his wife Debbie; Robert Jones; Michael Jones and his wife MaryAnn; Karen Bursese and her husband Salvatore; and Debbie Capozzoli and her husband Pasquale; her grandchildren, Christopher, Bryan, Samantha, Amanda, Joseph, Emilio, Sam, Erin, Dante, and Pasquale Jr.; her  great grandchildren, Anthony, Alessia and Luke; as well as her sister, Barbara; and her brother, William.

Please join the family on Sunday, December 29th from 2:00 – 5:00pm for visitation at Codey Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R. C. Church of Caldwell on Monday, December 30th at 10:30am, followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
