Obituary of Robert Ellis Neff

Robert Ellis Neff, 81, of Pine Brook, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ on Tuesday (today), November 25th from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell, West Caldwell Campus, 31 Fairfield Avenue, West Caldwell, NJ on Wednesday, November 26 at 10:00 am. His family moved to NJ where he was raised in Livingston, NJ. He was a Veteran of the Korean War where he proudly served in the US Air Force. Afterwards he married and attended Farleigh Dickenson University, Rutherford, NJ on the G.I. Bill and graduated with a bachelor degree in Engineering. Mr. Neff was a safety engineer for many years with Kemper Insurance in Summit, NJ. He also worked part time for 50 years at Nettie Ochs Cider Mill in Livingston. He was a longtime member of the West Caldwell Presbyterian Church, the American Legion, and the NJ Chapter, American Society of Safety Engineers. Surviving are his beloved wife, Gerrie (nee Fairchild); devoted children, Sherrie Major, Robert Neff (Kim) and Terrie Chase (Bruce); a dear brother, Charles Neff; loving grandchildren, Robert, Kristi, Casey, Patrick, Christian and Angel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montville Twp. First Aid Squad or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
