I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May God almighty father of tender mercies and all comfort continue to comfort you all (2 Corinthians 1: 3, 4). Please know that God has promised to completely remove death, tears, mourning, outcry and pain (Revelation 21:4). Indeed we all eagerly anticipate the fulfillment of these promise. The Bible also provides assurance of a real hope of reuniting with our dead loved ones in the coming new world (John 5: 28, 29). At a time like this the Bible is a true source of comfort and you can read it online and also learn further about God's purposes at www.jw.org

Dear Joan, Chris and family,my sincere condolences to you in this time of grief and sorrow.Ray was very good to me,he had faith in me and saw things that I was capable of that others did'nt. I am very proud and honored to have served as Secretary of the Essex County Democratic Committee for Ray's entire tenure as Chairman. Ray also had me appointed to the 1981 Reapportionment Commitee, and the Dems were victorious having our re districting map approved. He is with the saviour now and is being rewarded for a job well done. Both Anne and I are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ray. We knew he was not too well and kept in touch to learn of his progress. We first met Ray and Joan many years ago 1977 to be exact when Joan introduced us to our new home in South Orange where we spent 19 years prior to moving to Florida. They became good friends we will remember Ray in our prayers. Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him may he rest in peace amen.

To Joan and her wonderful children,
Ray was, certainly, one of a kind! You never left his company without a smile on your face for his quick wit and twinkling "Irish yes". To me his success in politics was not just being such a brilliant strategist, but how much heart he put into his position. If you needed a favor or had a problem, he would, immediately, pick up the phone and help was on it's way in one form or another. My deepest sympathies to his family. His "light" will live on within all the lives he touched and were fortunate enough know him.
Fondly,
Gail and George Middleton

Where do I start?
Deeply saddened by the loss of a wise and good friend, and a gentleman by the original meaning.
A masterful story teller he had a wonderful sense of humor and he was one of the kindest and most genuine people I have had the honor to know.
He was always kind to me and we spent a great deal of time talking about his beloved family and the many characters. I know first hand he was a great human being, a friend to all.
He was special and I expect right at this moment he has St. Peter in tears of laughter telling him one story or another with the same charm and great wit we all learned to love. I want to share my deepest condolences with the family. We have all lost a great man. He was a delight, a very gentle man with a very big heart and always a friendly smile & joke or funny story for everyone.
I've missed him and now that he has gone I will continue to do so.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
