Obituary of Martha Anna von Winckler

Martha Anna von Winckler (nee Whalen), of Caldwell, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at home with her daughters at her side. A Memorial Service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Caldwell, 8 Academy Road, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:30 pm. Martha was born in Port Chester, NY, was raised in Massachusetts, and lived in East Orange, NJ before moving to Caldwell in 1966. In addition to being a devoted wife and raising a family of four children, Martha was a secretary at The Church of the Crossroads in East Orange for 18 years. She was a devoted Christian and loved nature. She was predeceased by her husband, Cyril, a son, Carl and a brother, Norman Whalen. Surviving are her children, Eric, Rev. Anna Bauerband and Elsa Yeager; a sister, Eleanor Forrester; a brother Raymond Whalen; also 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
