Arthur J. Grey ITT Executive Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather Arthur "Art" Grey, 85, of Roseland, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2015 with his family by his side. Art was born in Clifton, NJ to his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth. He lived most of his life in Roseland where he and his wife Marie raised a family. Mr. Grey was graduated with a bachelor degree from NYU and a master's from Stevens Institute of Technology, both in Electrical Engineering. During Art's 38 year career at ITT, he held numerous engineering and executive positions. His engineering accomplishments include Satellite and Shipboard Communications for the U.S. Navy which are still in use in the cellular industry today and he holds a patent for this technology. Art's executive positions included Director of Advanced Development, Program Director of the first Commercial Satellite and then Program Director for the first GPS Satellite. Art finished his career working on secure voice communications for the U.S. Government and retired in 1990. Art's wife and family were the center of his life and he was truly devoted to them. Also, he was a longtime member and an ordained elder of the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell. Surviving are his beloved wife (and Clifton High School sweetheart) of 62 years, Marie (nee Ermenville); devoted daughters Cynthia Grey with her husband Pat Biondi of Cedar Grove, NJ and Vanessa Grey of Oreland, PA; cherished granddaughters Brooke and Justine Biondi.
