My thoughts and prayers have been with your family since I heard of Dolores' passing. She was so dedicated to all aspects of her life - family, work, community. I saw her daily at Harrison School where she built the pre-school program into a treasure of the school district.

We are Michael Callaghan's (and Laury's) uncle and aunt and we only met Dolores once that we can recall. However we love her daughter, Laury, who over the years has been so kind to us. If that is the kind of daughter Dolores raised then she must really have been a wonderful woman!

My sincere condolences for the family. I had the pleasure of seeing Dolores each day while she taught the preschool at both the old Administration Building and the Harrison School Building for the Caldwell-West Calwell Schools. She was an outstanding creative teacher and how she kept up with those three and four year olds, I'll never know!
I can vouch for her endless energy because I was able to see and hear about her creativity as my older daughter, Shannon, spent a year with Mrs. Jones and to this day remembers her fondly!
Rest in peace.

My heart is heavy and sad today from hearing of Delores's passing. There never was or never will be another person like her. She was the salt of the earth, funny, humble, loving and devoted to her family! I consider it a privledge to have known her for so many years. She and Roger were a hoot together. Enjoyed their company very much. And to her children, she left you with a legacy of love! So, so, sorry!

This is such a big loss to so many, especially the Jones family. Words don't seem adequate when talking about Delores, a woman who was respected and loved by an entire town. Just say her name to anyone, and you hear stories about her and "her children" of the Pre-K. I could not see her in Shop Rite or at an affair when she didn't ask me about, "My Joey, My Lauren, and My Cassie." I know it was that way for many other families as well. I loved her before I even met her, as I had reason to call her and talk on the phone before I sent my oldest child to her. There was a question about keeping him in a three year old class as he was very pre-mature at birth, and might not be emotionally ready for her four year old program. Her response was, "give him to me, and let me keep him two years if I feel it necessary." I trusted and loved her from that moment. That little boy took her to his senior awards ceremony when he graduated JCHS. Joe, Joey, Lauren, Cassie and I are so sad to learn of her passing. Our hearts and prayers are with you, her children and grandchildren. She will be missed, but will never be forgotten.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I can remember so many times that our moms would run into each other on the avenue and they'd have the greatest time. Your mom was one of the sweetest ladies I knew. She always had a kind word and a smile for everyone and could brighten a room just be entering. Send you lots of love and prayers.

Mrs. Jones was my preschool teacher back in the 90's. I was one of those kids that cried and clung to her mom because she didn't want to go to school. I remember Mrs. Jones as a kind woman who cared deeply for her students. She never raised her voice and made sure everyone was heard. As you go through school, you think that these awesome teachers will teach in the school system forever and will never pass away. I was also delighted to read how active she was in the town. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Your mom will never be forgotten. She leaves a legacy.
