I worked at Ford. Pete was the President of our local UAW at Teterboro NJ. He helped & guided me so many times that I lost count.
Pete was a person of warmth & compassion. He always kept his word.
If he was your friend, you were one of the luckiest people in the world.
I haven't seen him in many years, but he's never been far from my thoughts.
Thank You, Pete. Rest in Peace. I will never forget your kindness.
My heart goes out to his family, including Irene, who I met when she briefly worked with me at Ford, many, many years ago. Mary L.

I read about Peter's death in the Star Ledger. I am so sorry for your loss. Death of a loved one can be very distressing even if the person is elderly or sick. I would like to share the Bible's hope for those who have died and an encouraging word for those who have lost a loved one. The Bible teaches us that death was not part of God's original plan. He wanted man to live forever, in perfect health, on a paradise earth. Man disobeyed God and brought about sin and death to the human race. God's plan will still be realized. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight. It will have sure success in what I send it to do." The Bible talks about a resurrection of those who have died. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29) The word resurrection in the Bible literally means "a standing up again" and "revival of the dead". The provision for resurrection of the dead is a magnificent expression of God's undeserved kindness. It displays his wisdom and power and is a means by which his original purpose regarding the earth and humans will be carried out. If you would like to know more about what the Bible teaches, please visit JW.org. Sincerely, Paula

Dear Sophie and family,
We write this with a heavy heart. All of us are the poorer for Pete’s death. He was part of our life even before we were married 42 years ago.
As a fellow U.S. Army veteran, union activist and strong Democrat, Pete taught me how to be a good citizen. I will be forever in his debt because he never held a grudge and always respected my opinions.
We were shoulder to shoulder on more than one picket line as well as engaging in other union activities over the years. His advocacy for working men and women made me proud to work with him as a member of Local 2210 UAW and Region 9 UAW.
While no words of ours can ease your loss, we just wanted you to know that we are grieving with you and thinking about you constantly.
Solidarity forever,
Tim & Michaelann Keefe
