Dear Linda and family; I was so very sad to hear about the passing of Greg. Pickle and I spent many moments together when we were kids. We were in every class from first through 9th grade. He was a special person to everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace. God bless you.

Pickle was, to many of us, a thread in the fabric of our lives. He was so often a part of our fondest childhood memories. The Valley loses an iconic figure with his death, but we are all enriched for having known him. To all of the Dillon's ... thank you for sharing him with us!

My earliest memories growing up on Austin Place next to the courts involved my first friend Gregory Dillon.Playing b-ball, hikes up the Indian path and one infamous hike to the reservation, little league try-outs,a few sleep-overs,and a whole lot of pick-up games of football, baseball, and more b-ball. Laurie and I were in the same class at the Valley grammar school and Pickle was like a big brother to both of us.It was all part of a wonderful life growing up in The Valley. I always looked forward to stopping at Dillon's after the St. Patrick's Parade to see all the Dillons again.I'll miss the good times we had together. From the entire Buchanan clan to Linda and the entire Dillon clan we send our deepest regrets.

Pickle Dillon was two years ahead of me at the Valley grade school, always friendly and supportive of everyone he knew, even the "little kids". I later worked with him at the Post Office. He was a genuine person, authentic in every way. His passing marks the end of an era for the Valley and he will be sorely missed. RIP Pickle; you were one of the great ones.

Linda, I was so sad to hear about this. Everybody loved Pick. I have so many great memories of us growing up together and playing basketball through Grade & High School. He was always funny. What a character. I heard that he was sick upon his passing, but didn't know. We both wound up in the Liquor business, which I got out of 20 years ago. But I used to see Greg at the Bar back then. With his passing, a huge chunk of The Valley goes with him. Again my sincerest condolences. Hang in there. Gregg Fontana
